Georgios Vleioras is an assistant professor specializing in Developmental Psychology.
He completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2000) and his doctoral studies in Developmental Psychology at the University of Groningen, in the Netherlands (2005), with a scholarship from the Alexandros S. Onassis Foundation.
From 2008 to 2019 he worked as a Psychologist at the General Hospital of Volos.
He is trained in the Narrative Approach to Therapy and Community Work and in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He has published research papers in Greek and international peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented his work in Greek and international conferences.
He is a reviewer in scientific journals and a member of scientific societies. Since 2022, he is coordinator of the Division of Developmental Psychology of the Hellenic Psychological Association, together with Elisavet Chrysochoou.
His research interests focus on issues related to psychosocial and narrative identity development, transition to adulthood and emerging adulthood.
