Vasilis Kollias holds a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from Boston University. He is an Assistant Professor with a specialization in “Physics and Collaborative Learning Environments supported by Information and Communication Technologies”.

He has participated in teacher training programs related to the integration of ICT in education. His research interests include: designing collaborative learning environments supported by ICT for the Natural Sciences, training teachers in high educational added value ICT integration, student practices that promote learning in the Natural Sciences in collaborative environments and forms of blended learning such as the combination of distance and face-to-face learning or the combination of digital means with non-digital activities.
