Stefanos Asimopoulos holds a PhD in Atomic and Molecular Physics from the University of Ioannina (1999).
He was post-doctoral researcher in Solid State Physics at the Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2000-2002) and research associate of the Epistemology, Science Education and Educational Technology Laboratory, Department of Primary Education, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (2005-2010).
He is an Assistant Professor in Physical Science and Science Education. His research interests focus on the educational reconstruction of science concepts, analogies and models and the inquiry in Science Education.
