Maria Chatzi is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (LTS) at the Department of Primary Education at the University of Thessaly.

She holds a Master’s degree (MSc and a PhD, with a dissertation titled “Literacy and Science in Primary Education.” She has extensive experience in teaching at the primary education level, in the school practicum for student teachers, and participating in research projects.

Additionally, she has taught for many years at the Regional Educational Centers (PEK), the Marasleio Teaching School, and the Academic and Professional Development Program for Primary Education Teachers at the University of Athens, as well as at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education.

Her research interests focus on applied pedagogy, science teaching, and literacy in education.

Her scientific papers have been published in international and Greek scientific journals, conference proceedings, and edited volumes.
