Despoina Styla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education from the University of Thessaly (2007-2010) and a Bachelor’s degree in Philology from the University of Ioannina (1997-2001).
She possesses a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the Department of Preschool Education, University of Thessaly (2010-2012) and a Doctoral degree in Teaching Methodology (project-based learning) from the same department (2012-2017).
In 2021, she completed her postdoctoral research in Social Pedagogy at the Department of Preschool Education, University of Thessaly.
She is a certified adult educator (EOPPEP: EB 31741) and a certified member of the academic staff in Open and Distance Learning from the KEDIVIM of the Hellenic Open University.
Her research interests focus on theoretical and applied pedagogy, with an emphasis on teaching methodology and distance learning.
She has authored two academic books (on project-based learning and contemporary teaching methodology in education) and chapters in collective volumes, she has participated in scientific conferences and has published articles in scientific journals.
Since 2022, she has been working as a Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at the University of Thessaly and since 2024, as an EDIP in School Practice, at the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education, University of Thessaly.
