Eleni Andreou was born in Volos and studied Pedagogy in Greece and Psychology in Great Britain. After obtaining a PhD from the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy & Psychology of the Greek Academy of Sciences, she has specialized in various topics of School and Counseling Psychology and has published research papers in scientific Greek and international journals, collective volumes and conference proceedings. Since 1998, she has been working at the University of Thessaly.
In 2014 she was elected a first-level Professor in the subject of Educational Psychology in the Department of Primary Education.
She is a member of scientific societies, a reviewer in many scientific international journals and has many years of experience in supervising bachelor’s and master’s theses, doctoral theses and research programs.
Her research interests focus on learning disabilities and behavioral problems at school, social and emotional development, school and cyberbullying, classroom management, school mental health promotion and intervention programs, and inclusive education.
